The song was written by busbee, Lee Thomas Miller and Chris Wallin, and it will hit radio beginning today (Sept. 3). It's Brooks' first radio single since 2007's "More Than a Memory."

Easily among the most anticipated country songs of the year, "People Loving People" is the first single from Brooks' new studio album, which he announced during a press conference earlier this summer. That album is expected around Thanksgiving.

"I want to thank God and everyone who is giving me a second chance to look at a second career," Brooks said during that July 10 press conference. "I don't know too many artists who get this chance."

He acknowledged that things have changed since the 1990s, when as one of the top-selling artists of all time he helped bring mainstream appeal to country music. But he also said that that's OK. "My job is to create, have fun, and find new songs."
