But the new number comes after weeks of insiders upping the total; first, it was expected to sell around 750,000 two weeks ago, followed by a jump to around 800,000 and then 900,000. Red sold 1.21 million copies in its first week in 2012, while Swift's previous album, 2010's Speak Now, also reached that marker at 1.05 million.
