According to Billboard, Perry had planned a three-week excursion with her entourage to Egypt during a break from her Prismatic World Tour. The birthday festivities included plenty of parties, tourist stops and a leisurely cruise on the Nile River.

Unfortunately for Perry, her itinerary of the trip leaked, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and she was forced to cancel her trip due to "safety reasons."

No doubt a major bummer for the pop star, at least she's getting a few wishes come true. She kicked off her birthday week saying all she wants is her name on the Shakey's Pizza marquee.
