Shawn Mendes Releases New Track Something Big

11/10/2014
.
(Radio.com) Shawn Mendes is on the brink of something big. That's the idea behind his latest song, off his upcoming album, at least. On the aspirational stadium-sized track, the 16-year-old singer drops feel good verses like, "Raise this up, we're feeling high/ They can't tell us anything/ Something big is happening" over a clapping beat.

The chorus - "Something big, I feel it happening/ Out of my control/ Push and fall and it's grabbing me/ Feel it in my bones" - is one of the more uplifting ones to come out of this year.

But the title of the song could be said of his career. After dropping some compelling covers of The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather," Beyonc's "Drunk in Love," and Oasis' "Wonderwall" and creating a following for himself on Vine - that includes 3 million fans and counting - the artist is quickly rising.
