Billy Corgan Sues Over Unpaid Royalties

(Radio.com) Billy Corgan has sued a Los Angeles music distributor, claiming the company owes him money from revenues made off his music. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Corgan filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that he hadn't been properly paid by L.A.-based Rocket Science, Inc. and Skyrocket Holdings, LLC. for some back revenue on his music.

Corgan and the distributor entered into an agreement at the beginning of 2010 that gave the company exclusive rights to distribute some of his music. However, around September 2011, Corgan claims, the revenue payments ceased.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman is also alleging that Kevin Day, the main executive behind the distribution company, didn't handle the money correctly, such as using business funds to pay for his own expenses. more on this story
