Behind the Scenes on the Eli Young Band's 'Dust' Video
. "All four of us in the band have wives who come from very small towns," Jones continued. "And I was thinking of my wife, who I feel was always meant to live in a big city. And she always felt that way growing up. So I just had her in my mind - it's not exactly a love song for her, but she was definitely on my mind when we wrote that song." The band's brand-new music video for "Dust" brings this person to life. In the video, the song's protagonist is shown alone in a bar. She's sick of the town she's living in and the guy she's dating, so she decides to do something about it: She hops into her car to hit the open road and leave it all behind. Filmed in Tennessee in April, the clip shows, among other things, the process it takes for a cameraman to film a moving car. Strapped to the hood of the band's Jeep, frontman Mike Eli remarks, "We have someone's life in [our] hands." Directed by Peter Zavadil, "Dust" was shot on a homemade dirt track that was created especially for this project. "It's taken a massive amount of people to make this happen but it's pretty exciting," Zavadil said. Watch an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the "Dust" video here.
