Whitney Houston Biopic Coming

. (Radio.com) Whitney Houston's story is coming to a small screen near you. The film, set to air on Lifetime in 2015, will be directed by actress Angela Bassett. The movie will mark Bassett's directorial debut.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the TV movie, titled Whitney Houston, will chronicle the late singer's relationship with ex-husband Bobby Brown, from their first meeting to their tumultuous divorce.

"I have such regard for both Whitney's and Bobby's amazing talents and accomplishments, and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story," Bassett said in a statement. "Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I'm beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world." more on this story
