"It was just me and Vic live in the studio with no overdubs," explains Hagar. "Just two guitars, sometimes one guitar, sometimes just one voice, sometimes two voices."

The sessions were inspired by the rehearsals for Sammy's recent co-headlining appearance at the Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit show, an event that saw acoustic sets by James Hetfield of Metallica, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Scott Mathews, Pat Monahan of Train, Joe Satriani, Nancy Wilson of Heart, and more.
