The guitarist has completed recording the follow-up to 2012's "Apocalyptic Love", which is expected later this year. Slash recently shared an update on Velvet Revolver, who have remained inactive since the 2008 departure of singer Scott Weiland.

"I think we're gonna audition a singer coming up," Slash revealed on the red carpet at the 10th annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles recently. "So there's that. But I'm gonna be out on the road for the next year and a half [with my solo band] anyway, so�"
