Gregg Allman & Others Sued Over Biopic Crew Member's Death
. Now, the legendary Allman Brothers Band member is being sued himself - along with, again, those behind the movie. The parties involved are accused of being responsible for the death of Sarah Jones, Billboard reports. The lawsuit is filed by Jones' parents. The new lawsuit, filed in Chatham County State Court, finds Jones' parents finding 10 different individuals responsible for their daughter's death, along with eight corporations - including the forest products manufacturer that owns the land surrounding the crash scene and the transportation company that owns the railroad tracks. Allman is included in the suit due to his role as an executive producer on the film. According to the suit, the land owner, Rayonier Performance Fibers, wrongly told the crew that "only two trains would pass by the on the railroad track per day." Additionally, the owner of the tracks, CSX Transportation, did not give actual permission to shoot on location, but were reportedly aware that the shoot was occurring and, according to the suit, should have taken necessary precautions. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
