Singled Out: Decade's Coffin
. The song 'Coffin' is about my brother who for the past few years has served as a Royal Marine. The lyrics are quite ambiguous but for the most part they are about me comparing our lives and how they differ. The line 'head all over the place, I feel so misplaced, where have I been?' is about how he might feel when he's away from home and in a war zone somewhere. The line 'guess I'm going nowhere, my god it's not fair, the things I've seen' is about the fact that although he might want to come home and although he may have seen some terrible things, he has a duty to fulfill and he has to stay put. I'm really proud that he made it through all of the intensive training involved and I'm proud to say that I have a sibling that is fighting the good fight, so I decided to write him a song. It's his favourite track on the album too so that's cool! Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and watch the video here and grab their tour dates right here!
