Finch will be taking a break from recording their new album to hit the road this summer as part of the Warped tour. The band also expects to give fans their first taste of the new album next month with the release of the first single from the effort. The band is recording the album with producer Brian Virtue (Deftones, 30 Sec to Mars, Janes Addiction, Audio Slave) and they recently revealed that they signed a deal with Razor & Tie for its release.
Finch had this to say about the deal, "It's been an incredibly productive and busy year for us, we're excited about our partnership with Razor & Tie and can't wait to get our new record out this year. Razor & Tie pursued us from the beginning of our anniversary shows last year and has shown a lot of faith in the band, we're making what we feel is a powerful and meaningful record and we couldn't be happier about all the support Razor & Tie have given to us."
Razor & Tie A&R Executive Mike Gitter adds, "Finch are as vital a live band and as focused a creative force as they were when What It Is To Burn was released. The new songs they've spent the past year writing are classic Finch with the poise and muscle of a band as locked-in and fired up as ever. We're exciting to be working together."
The band will be performing on select stops of the Warped Tour this summer beginning with the Houston, Tx date on June 13th and concluding on July 6th in Holmdel, NJ.
