Morrissey Releases Sarcastic Rant a.k.a. New Single
. The outspoken Brit released a video the spoken word title track from his forthcoming album World Peace Is None of Your Business. In it, he is draped in the trappings of the moneyed: dressed in a proper white tie and tails that would make Anna Wintour and Charles Gordon proud; a grand piano; and a grand dame, in the form of his collaborator and absolute icon, Nancy Sinatra. In the lyrics for the track, Moz takes a sarcastic tone while repeating platitudes one might attribute to the 1 percent. He encourages a disengagement so prevalent in modern culture, in which "poor little fools" are encouraged to "work hard and simply pay your taxes, never asking what for" while accepting that "the police will stun you with their stun guns" because "that's what government's for." World Peace Is None of Your Business will be released on July 6. Check out the deluxe album's full track list along with the album art here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
