2 Chainz Sentenced to Drug Diversion Program

(Radio.com) It's unclear if the Feds were actually watching 2 Chainz, but the TSA agents at Los Angeles Airport were clearly on the lookout. The rapper was arrested last June after airport officials found ingredients for sizzurp-a cough syrup-based drink-in his checked bag.

On Monday (May 5), 2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor possession of the controlled substance. According to the District attorney's spokeswoman (via Billboard), the rapper was sentenced to an 18-month drug diversion program, an alternative to serving jail time.

The spokeswoman also said that a felony drug possession charge was dropped and that the misdemeanor charge will additionally be dropped if he can successfully complete the program. more on this story
