There's many components of making music. Lyrics, content, vibes, flow, delivery, emotions, Etc. You don't have to attack every single one of these elements in every song. Gum Drop is strictly a fun, forget your worries, and have a good night type record. There's not a conscious lyrical approach with this song, it's strictly about good vibes & a smooth delivery.

I got a lot of bs going on in my life as of late and I love making songs like Gum Drop every so often because I get to take a little break from my conscious mind & just make a "I don't give a f*** type track."

I know a lot of people like to go clubbing and get faded so this song is for them. It was an honor working with The Heatmakerz because I grew up on Dipset, so it was really cool to see this come full circle. They're great producers & I'm looking forward to building with them in the future.
