Elliott Smith Documentary Preview Released
. Produced by Kevin Moyer -a high school friend of Smith's- it's the first project to be given access to the late singer's music. According to a press release, the film is an "intimate, meditative inquiry into the life and music" of the late singer, who passed away in 2003 from an apparent suicide. With the doc, Moyer wanted to take fans on a "visual journey" through the three cities Smith lived in-New York City, Los Angeles and Portland. He also wanted to give an "earnest review of the singer's prolific songwriting and the impact it continues to have on fans, friends, and fellow musicians." Watch the trailer here.
