The series takes an intimate look at Grace, who came out as a woman in 2012, as well as other members of the trans community "whose experiences are woefully underrepresented and misunderstood in the media," said the network on the video preview page.

"I just want to make a connection," Grace says in the series' trailer. "There are selfish reasons for that, of not wanting to feel like I'm alone in the world. But that's what I hope is that it gives other people too. Like, they feel that they're not alone in the world."
