According to the Miami Herald, the 28-year-old female guard is hospitalized with severe brain hemorrhaging and a broken leg, and was reportedly bleeding from the ears while being treated by medical personnel at the scene.

The tragic episode occurred at Southeast First Street and Biscayne Boulevard when a mob of people overran a section of chain link fence that had not been reinforced with additional security fencing, trampling the guard in the process.
