Jamie xx Delivers New Song 'Sleep Sound'

(Radio.com) Jamie xx's new song "Sleep Sound" may sound familiar to die-hard fans. He originally debuted it last year during BBC Radio 6 Music's 6 Mix Resident DJs. But, this is officially the first time fans and admirers alike will get a chance to hear the track in its entirety.

The song, which will be available via a new double A-side 12″ called "Girl"/"Sleep Sound," out May 5 on Young Turks, is a lush mix of twinkly harpsichord, warped beats and a female singer who aggressively lulls you into dreamland.

Jamie and his xx bandmates, Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim, are currently finishing out a residency at New York's Park Avenue Armory. The shows have the band, whose last album Coexist, came out in 2012, playing with the idea of space. more on this story
