Wu-Tang Clan Releasing Only One Copy of 'Secret Album'
. "The idea that music is art has been something we advocated for years," said RZA. "And yet it doesn't receive the same treatment as art in the sense of the value of what it is, especially nowadays when it's been devalued and diminished to almost the point that it has to be given away for free." Now they're going to do something about it. The group have announced they will sell only 1 (one) copy of the album, with a multi-million dollar price tag announced. What makes it deserving of that price tag is more than the music? The album will be encased in a silver and nickel engraved box crafted by British-Moroccan artist Yahya. The box, album enclosed, will then go on a tour of museums, galleries, listening tents at music festivals- all with a price to admission attached, so the masses who can't buy it will be allowed to see what they cannot have. The audio will be available as well, via headphones. After that, the work will go up for sale. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
