Shakira Releases 'Empire' Video

. (Radio.com) Shakira is a girl on fire in her latest video for "Empire" off her new self-titled album, out yesterday. On the track, which has Shakira channeling Kate Bush, she sings about the power of one particular man's love, "Like the empires of the world unite/ We are alive/And the stars make love to the universe/You're my wildfire every single night." Pretty intense.

In the clip, Shakira plays a runaway bride, who enters the church only to realize she's not really ready. So, she turns around and bolts out the door Julia Roberts style.

Shakira spends the rest of the video running barefoot through a grassy field in a flowing wedding dress. Oh, and she does ignite, leaving her wedding dress a little charred. But, it doesn't hold her back. She's got things to do, like show off her backbend in a decaying church. Watch it here.
