Allman Brothers Band Postpone Final Residency Shows Due To Illness

. After Gregg Allman was forced to miss two of the band's Beacon Theatre residency shows this weekend due to bronchitis, the Allman Brothers Band announced on Monday that they are postponing the remaining dates.

The original shows were scheduled to take place on March 25th, March 26th, March 28th and March 29th and were to be the band's swansong performances for their annual residency.

The band said in a statement that they postponed the shows "as a result of Mr. Allman's illness, the Allman Brothers Band is unable to perform at the level to which they aspire."

The new dates are still to be announced and the band advises fans with tickets to the original dates that their tickets will be honored on the new dates. Ticketholders that want refunds can obtain them from their original point of purchase.
