(Radio.com) While on tour with 2 Chainz, August Alsina came by the Power 98 Studios to talk with Mr. Incognito about his upcoming debut album Testimony being released on April 15th.

Being from New Orleans, August says that the album is "basically my life, where I come from." Collaborating with Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Fabolous, Pusha T and more, August believes that he wanted to keep most of the songs to himself since this was his first album.

While August doesn't look up to anyone in the R&B game, he did say that his music is influenced by Lauryn Hill and Lyfe Jennings. Going further, he didn't really understand what the state of R&B is right now. He believes that back in the day guys would always play R&B music with their lady friends, but nowadays they "don't feel comfortable" and don't "wanna be seen" listening to it.
