R&B Diva Chrisette Michele Was Weened On Alternative Music
. The GRAMMY nominated Michele surprised us, though, when she declared that she didn't grow up listening to R&B divas like LaBelle, but was weened on alternative music. She's serious about it too: the first two dream collaborations that popped out of her mouth when asked in our video interview above were Lorde and Mumford & Sons. The expressive singer, who was all swathed in gold from her eyelids to her shoulders to the tips of her curls, told us all about her Rich Hipster project, her new album The Lyricist's Opus and being a reality star on R&B Divas all while sitting at the great GRAMMY Museum, just in front of an exhibit of Michael Jackson's memorable jackets. Watch the interview and get to know the surprising mind behind numerous gospel and R&B tracks she's harder to figure out than a Rubick's Cube here.
