Augustines Debut New Single
. The track, taken from latest album Augustines, is "about ghosts and hope, and driving from someplace that has been holding you back for far too long," explains singer Billy McCarthy. He continues: "Sometimes we need to lighten the load we carry inside, remove layers and sit with just ourselves, no matter how hard we hate it. And sometimes a ship must cast cargo in the sea to survive storms or the ship, no matter how brave, will perish in tall waves." The lyrics to Now You Are Free were written on the northern coast above San Francisco by McCarthy during a road trip up the coastline by motorbike, on an epic journey during which he travelled thousands of miles.
