. Already a mainstay in their native UK, Whitesnake's sixth studio album was a breakthrough for the band in North America. "Slide It In" was the group's first album to crack the US top 40 on the Billboard 200, based on the success of two of the project's six singles, "Love Ain't No Stanger" and "Slow 'An Easy." In 1988 the album re-entered the US charts due to the success of the 1987's self-titled "Whitesnake" album, helping it sell more than 2 million copies to reach double platinum status Stateside.
