Sky Ferreira Talks Medical Challenges and Touring With Miley Cyrus
. "I never had an opportunity to take a break," she said. "It's kind of like if you break your arm, it needs time to heal. It was basically like playing basketball with a broken arm." Ferreira's voice is completely healed now, but that doesn't mean she can't find a way to hurt herself. While on tour with Miley Cyrus, Ferreira cut herself so bad that she needed 60 stitches. Not that Ferreira even noticed, as she explained later on Instagram alongside a photo of her with a bandaged leg and a sheet over her head. "I just figured it was some blood," she wrote. She even managed to finish her set, chalking it up to "#ThePowerOfAdrenalin." Or perhaps, it was just straight up girl power. Ferriera told Radio.com that she was excited to be a part of Miley's Bangerz Tour because it marked a first for her. "I've actually never really toured with any girls before," Ferreira said. "My bands have always been all guys." Which is surprising, being that her debut, Night Time, My Time, is an honest look at not only her life, but what it's like to be a woman in the world today. "I feel like a lot of females get it right away," she said. But her feminine take has led some reviewers, specifically male ones, to misinterpret some of her songs. Read what she had to say here.
