. Recorded for the star-studded Divergent soundtrack, Lamar goes right in on the trippy track, laying some particularly gruff raps over the song's swirling melodies and shuffling rhythm. Vocals from Tame Impala's original version are only heard during the distinctive chorus. Listen to the new version below. "Backwards" is the latest track to be showcased from the soundtrack, following previously highlighted songs from M83, A$AP Rocky and Pia Mia with Chance the Rapper and producer Clams Casino.
