Taylor Swift Nominated For Entertainer of the Year
. Thirteen has long been Taylor Swift's lucky number, and the year 2013 was no exception. Swift and her Red Tour were practically everywhere last year - and we mean that literally. They criss-crossed North America for much of the year, putting on 58 shows in 45 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces. And between tour dates, Swift managed to show up and collect trophies and accolades from the People's Choice Awards, the GRAMMYs, the Billboard Music Awards, the American Music Awards, the Fragrance Foundation Awards, the MTV VMAs, the Nashville Songwriter's Association and more. Seriously, we had to edit it for length because the list goes on and on and on. In addition to being one of Swift's most awarded years, 2013 was the year she became, as USA Today's Brian Mansfield put it, "one of country music's great philanthropists." She donated a hefty sum to the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, which opened the Taylor Swift Education Center last year. Swift's donation helped fund a wing that "includes classrooms and a learning lab with built-in technology to facilitate distance learning and outreach programs." Watch the video here.
