Man formed in South Wales in 1968 and released debut album Revelations the following year. Something Is Happening appeared on their eleventh LP The Welsh Connection featuring Terry Williams, Phil Ryan, John McKenzie, Deke Leonard and Micky Jones.

The band split the same year, then in 1983 Leonard and Jones regrouped with Martin Ace and John 'Pugwash' Weathers. The current lineup, based in Germany, features Ryan, Ace, Josh Ace, James Beck and Rene Robrahn.
