The axe is inspired by Anthrax's fifth album, 1990's "Persistence of Time", which ushered in a new age in Thrash and a new direction for the band and was the last full Anthrax album to feature vocalist Joey Belladonna until 2011's "Worship Music." The project was nominated in 1991 for a Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance category.
