Prince Previews New Song Inspired By A Prince Meme

. (Radio.com) Prince seems to have given up on hating the internet. First, he joined Twitter, then Instagram, now he's writing songs about memes that were inspired by him.

Yesterday, Prince tweeted out a link to a 36-second snippet of the song, "This Could Be Us," which was inspired by a meme of him from Purple Rain where he's seen riding on a motorcycle with Apollonia.

The 3RDEYEGIRL Twitter account tweeted, "The track is a sensual ballad featuring Prince's signature falsetto and, of course, the line, 'This could be us, but you playin'.'"

In the last few months, Prince has also shown he can have a little fun with his persona, using a photo of Dave Chappelle as "Prince" for the single cover of "Breakfast Can Wait" and appeared on his fave TV show, New Girl to give a little love advice and share a song with Zooey Deschanel. more on this story
