Whitesnake Recruit 'New Super Guitarist'

06/24/2014
.
(Gibson) Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale has revealed that the band has found its new guitarist to replace the departed Doug Aldrich... but he can't say who it is yet.

"We have had a new super guitarist in play for a while now, as I hinted some time ago, so, you can relax," Coverdale said overnight. "Unfortunately, because of contractual commitments on his side, we cannot reveal his name, rank and serial number just yet."

"Of course, you will be the first to know when we can draw back the Snakey curtains to show him in all his musical finery," he continued. "He is not a former member of Whitesnake. It is a new one with as many bells and whistles as we could could possibly need."

So who could it possibly be? Are there any hints in Coverdale's statement, beyond the confirmation that the new guitarist is not a returning former member (thus ruling out fan speculation that Bernie Marsden or Adrian Vandenberg were returning)? more on this story
