Martin Garrix Discusses Animals and Tiesto
. "I have no idea," Garrix laughed during a recent interview with Radio.com when asked what catapulted the song onto pop radio playlists and as high as No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100. "I think it's the melody. It gets stuck in your head. I've heard the track a million times, so I'm kind of tired of the melody. But I think that's one of the reasons why the track is charting so well." Garrix also discussed what it's like to have legendary DJ and fellow Dutchman Tisto as a mentor helping him navigate the waters of his career."Everything," the young producer said when inquired about the kinds of things Tisto advises him on. "Daily life stuff, but also like, production wise, I send him tracks, he plays them out live and gives me honest [feedback]" more. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
