Kanye West and Annie Leibovitz Release Joint Statement
. According to Leibovitz's camp, the photographer was interested in taking pictures for the wedding - but she was never confirmed to do so, rather than dropping out at the last minute, calling the reporting on West's comments "taken out of context and sensationalized." "She would have loved to have taken their wedding portrait and was disappointed it didn't happen," Leibovitz's representatives noted. West's folks added that the rapper had been unaware prior to Cannes that the photographer had technically never been booked for a shoot at the wedding - and that he was not assigning any blame in the incident, or lack thereof. "Although Kanye expressed frustration that he was not able to collaborate with Annie Leibovitz at his recent wedding, he is not assigning blame, and is not accusing Annie in any way," the statement read. "Unbeknownst to Kanye, she was never confirmed. Kanye and Annie's representatives were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding," more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
