Lana Del Rey Reveals 'Ultraviolence' Bonus Track 'Is This Happiness'
. All respect if that's the case, but that doesn't mean some of the leftovers aren't formidable in their own rights. A somber new track from Ultraviolence's recording sessions, "Is This Happiness," has surfaced. It's a song that will be featured on the iTunes version of the album's release as a bonus track. Set over somber piano, "Is This Happiness" is among Ultraviolence's lightest, perhaps prettiest songs, more in line with some of Del Rey's lilting, breezy older output versus some of the guitar-featuring tracks that populate the new album. "High up in the Hollywood Hills drinking violet pills / Writing all of my songs about my cheap thrills," the song starts. "You're a hard man to love / And I'm a hard woman to keep track of." "Is this happiness?" she asks on the chorus, string accompaniment joining her after questioning her life and the relationship she's found herself in. Check out the song here.
