(Gibson) Joan Jett and her Blackhearts are set to open for Roger Daltrey of the Who at a benefit show next month for Teen Cancer America, an organization Daltrey created alongside Pete Townshend.

Funds raised from the concert will go to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, which is working with Teen Cancer America to open a unit dedicated to helping teenagers and young adults fighting cancer.

The show will happen July 28 at Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. Tickets go on sale starting at 10 a.m. ET Friday via www.KimmelCenter.org or the Kimmel Center Box Office.

In other Daltrey news, the singer recently told the BBC that he's hoping to do a new blues album with Wilko Johnson, so long as Johnson stays healthy. Johnson recently underwent surgery for a cancerous tumor. more on this story
