Singled Out: Dust Bolt's Soul Erazor
. Soul Erazor is one of the first songs we wrote for the album. As far as there were lots of people that were curious but also sometimes skeptical about our second album. The idea for this song was really to put out a "straight in your face" and high pace song to show the people that we are able to do another and even better record. While most of the other songs of the album go quiet deep lyrically, this song captures the whole feeling of the album title I think, by being very aggressive and having this kind of middle finger in the air attitude. I was thinking of ourselves, our friends and all the people we often hang out with when I wrote that. As far as we are coming from a very rich place, the usual society often looks at us as crazy people and without respect, just because of the way we look like or spend our freetime hanging out outside, skating or whatever. And this song should display that we do not really care about that and live our lives the way we want it and that we are a new and young generation that rises up and has something to say. I think that would be an aspect to describe the feeling of Soul Erazor, or at least what I combine with it. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
