Consequence of Sound reports that Morrissey, in a statement, claims he doesn't even know the guy who's suing him, and considers the allegations a "vexatious lie."

In the statement, the singer notes that Bradley Steyn, who apparently brought a lawsuit against Morrissey, has indeed worked for him in the past as a bodyguard - though "he has 'walked off' three Morrissey tours" - but had not been head of security on any of his tours.

Steyn had reportedly claimed that Morrissey had hired him as a bodyguard and had worked with him to see if there was any way David Tseng, who runs the website Morrissey-Solo.com, "could get hurt."

Morrissey instead claims the stories are false and that he did not try to order some sort of hit on Tseng - though he admitted it's common knowledge he doesn't like the website, calling it the "SoLow site."
