Lana Del Rey Releases Ultraviolence Video

07/31/2014
.
(Radio.com) Lana Del Rey videos often contain a sense of danger and touch on taboos - see: "Ride," "Shades of Cool," "Born to Die" - but in her latest visual for the Ultraviolence title track, Del Rey does a 180 and plays a pious bride to be in the clip, premiered by Noisey.

The video, shot in her signature style - grainy and sepia-toned - follows the singer as she heads to the altar in a vintage wedding dress and lace veil. It feels like you're watching a home movie shot by her husband-to-be since the camera man's hand reaches out to lovingly touch her throughout the video.

Stylistically, Del Rey's wedding day look isn't something we haven't seen before. Promotional images leading up to her short film Tropico showed the singer wearing a longer lace veil and a floor-length gown, though it was an icy blue color.
