Coldplay Donates $17K To Fan With Terminal Illness

According to Billboard, Coldplay have donated ?10,000 or $17,000 to a fund-raiser organized by a terminally ill British fan named Jody Duff who is suffering from a motor neurone disease - a progressive neurological condition - that has confined him to a wheelchair. Duff has been raising money MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association UK), looking for a total of ?25,000 (over $42,000). But it wasn't until the fundraiser caught the attention of Coldplay that the long-time fan's fundraiser got a big boost.
