Kendrick Lamar Not Letting Grammy Loss Get Him Down
. In an interview with XXL this week, a very Zen Kendrick says he isn't upset about losing and doesn't hold a grudge against Macklemore, who admitted that he thought Kendrick was robbed. Macklemore even went as far as writing an apology text to K-Dot for beating him out for Best Hip-Hop album, in hopes to make amends. "It's well deserved; he did what he did, man," Kendrick said of Macklemore's four wins. "He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason; the universe comes back around, that's how it go." The Compton rapper than touched on complaints that the GRAMMYs tend to undervalue the work of hip-hop artists, giving a classy response that should win him the title of official spokesperson for hip-hop.
