Courtney Love's Twitter Trial Sparks Tears Over Frances Bean
. According to SPIN, when the Hole singer took the stand to defend herself in the defamation case against her former attorney, Rhonda J. Holmes, Love claimed she had meant to send her former attorney a private message, not a tweet out to her millions of followers. In June of 2010, Love accused Holmes of being "bought off" via Twitter. "I was f***ing devestated [sic] when Rhonda J Holmes esq of San Diego was bought off. I've been hiring and firing lawyers to help me with this," Love tweeted from her account. When asked on the witness stand if she considered tweeting a public retraction, she simply said, "It was so long ago. I don't remember if I rectified it in that moment or not." Love said she originally reached out to Holmes in order to protect her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. "When asked how important Frances Bean's well-being is to the defendant, her lip began to quiver and she teared up, avowing, 'It's the most important thing,'" SPIN reports. As additional witnesses were brought to the stand, it became apparent that Love spends most of her time on Twitter. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
