Cry Of Love split in 1997, with guitarist Audley Freed going on to join the Black Crowes and bassist Robert Kearns going to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Drummer Jason Patterson has paid tribute to the late vocalist, telling NewsObserver: "Through it all he was able to sing fantastically.
