The Quireboys Plan 30th Anniversary Shows and Album

. (Classic Rock) The Quireboys will return to the scene of their first-ever show to celebrate their 30th anniversary in April, they've confirmed. Two special concerts will be held to mark the milestone, ahead of the release of a three-disc album in early summer and an extensive tour.

Spike and co's debut gig was at the Half Moon in Putney, London, in April 1984. They'll take the same stage on April 23 this year, then play another celebratory show at the V Club in Ibiza on May 15 as part of the Hard Rock Hell Road Trip festival.

The currently untitled release will include a new studio album, a DVD shot during last year's Beautiful Curse tour, and a live album recorded at Sweden Rock on the same trek in front of 40,000 people. more on this story
