Morrissey Tour Includes Shows With Tom Jones and Cliff Richard
. The tour, which kicks off on May 7 in San Jose, CA, will boast two incredibly high-profile opening acts when it hits Los Angeles and New York. For the L.A. date, Moz will be joined by none less than Welsh vocal legend Tom Jones, best known for hit songs from the 1960s including "What's New Pussycat?" and "It's Not Unusual" (in 1988, he teamed up with Art of Noise for a cover of Prince's "Kiss" that hit No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100). When Morrissey wraps up the tour at Brookyn's Barclay Center, his opening act will be UK pop icon Cliff Richard, who in 2008 celebrated 50 years of making records and just last year released his 100th studio album, The Fabulous Rock 'n' Roll Songbook. Longtime Morrissey opening act Kristeen Young will also appear at the L.A. and N.Y. shows. As of press time, there was no indication who will be appearing on the remaining dates. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
