. Of Church's latest release, due to drop on Feb. 11, NPR says it "transcends the genre without abandoning it and fully refreshes mainstream rock in the process." And it's easy to see why from Church's first two singles, the gritty title track "The Outsiders" and the nostalgic "Give Me Back My Hometown," which each explore the versatility that his forthcoming album brings. The twangy "Cold One" hints at the hell-raising Church fans know and love, while "Talladega" recalls his sensitive side with acoustic guitar and wavering electric guitar.
