(Classic Rock) The Red Hot Chili Peppers have seen the funny side of the spoof single that's been bouncing round the world and generating a buzz since being launched late last week.

A track entitled Abracadabralifornia was offered as a free download via RHCP2014.com and quickly earned credence from some media outlets, who failed to identify it was a light-hearted mickey-take on some of the band's most obvious musical themes. Chilis drummer Chad Smith, on being sent the link via Twitter, responded: "Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!"

Now the pranksters have been unveiled - Abracadabralifornia was created by comedian Jon Daly and musician Cyrus Ghahremani have each called each other the "genius behind everything." They've revealed the track is the theme song for their RHCP fan club called the Peppermen, saying: "We meet in a basement and we've got one sock on. It's not on our feet." Check out the spoof here.
