Nicki Minaj Freestyles with Shaquille O'Neal
. So Inside the NBA was a natural stop for Minaj to make while in the midst of her current promotional run. It was unlike any of her recent appearances, however, on Saturday Night Live and Ellen, among others.. After a giving an interview about her creative process and new album, while standing alongside host Ernie Johnson and NBA standouts and current TNT analysts Kenny Smith, Grant Hill and Shaquille O'Neal, Minaj and everyone else on set held an impromptu freestyle. Well, one has to wonder how impromptu it really was since Hill came prepared with lyrics for which everyone else dogged him. Smith kicked off the cypher and then was followed by Hill, who gave shout-outs to Minaj's Young Money cohorts Lil Wayne and Drake. The pressure was on for Shaq though when he took the mic, especially considering the basketball player went platinum 25 years ago with his 1993 rap debut Shaq Diesel. He didn't fare relatively well--though he did get rejected by Minaj when he rap-asked her to marry him. Watch it here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
