O'Day told fans Richard "punched me in the back of my head while I was speaking to another associate. To be clear, she was not physically engaged or threatened prior to her attack on me." She also wrote that the attack was followed by "no sign of remorse" from Richard and explained that negativity had been stirring over the past year, with the assault being the final straw.

Now Richard has written an open letter of her own to that she hopes gives her side of the story. Richard took to Facebook over the weekend to address fans, writing, "I am sorry to everyone that this news has to come out. You're worth more" before explaining "this should have been handled privately not publicly."
